Setpoint is an AI-powered field service management platform built exclusively for HVAC contractors. It replaces the patchwork of spreadsheets, generic scheduling tools, and missed calls that most small HVAC shops run on. One login for the owner, one login per technician, $99/month flat with no per-user fees.

## What makes it different

Setpoint is purpose-built for HVAC — not a generic field service tool adapted for the trades. It understands refrigerant types, equipment age, EPA compliance requirements, flat-rate pricing, and the full service loop from inbound call to Google review. Every feature assumes the user runs an HVAC business.

The core differentiator is AI that uses your shop's own data. Before the AI receptionist says a single word to a caller, it has already loaded their equipment records, refrigerant type, last service date, condition score, and any open declined repairs from your database.

- AI Receptionist: Answers inbound calls with a live AI voice. Recognizes returning customers by phone number, loads their full profile (equipment, last service, declined repairs), and greets them by name before speaking. Captures unknown callers as leads. Transcript, AI-generated summary, and owner SMS notification after every call. Powered by Vapi, Claude, and ElevenLabs.
- Voice Field Notes: Whisper-powered voice dictation on every text field in the app. Works on iOS Safari and Android Chrome with no app install. Understands HVAC terminology.
- AI Quote Generator: Converts plain-English field notes into an itemized, invoice-ready quote in under 90 seconds. Matches parts to the shop's catalog, applies their margin, and outputs in the owner's voice. Powered by Claude.
- Good/Better/Best Proposals: Generates three-tier proposals from a single job description. Each tier is fully itemized. Customer receives a branded approval link, selects their tier, and eSigns. PDF generated on approval.
- Job Prep Analyzer: Reads the upcoming job, equipment history, and prior visit notes to produce a prep brief for the technician — what to bring, what to check, what was flagged last time.
- Optimize / Priority Action Queue: Daily ranked list of business actions — quotes to chase, jobs to book, units aging out, customers overdue — with outreach already drafted.
- AI Follow-Up Drafts: Personalized thank-you message and Google review request after every completed job.
- Equipment Photo Analysis: Technician photographs a unit; AI extracts brand, model, type, age, and visible condition.
- Profitability Tracking: Calculates true per-job margin using actual technician check-in/check-out timestamps multiplied by each tech's hourly cost rate, compared against invoice revenue.
- Flat-Rate Variance Detection: Flags fixed-price service calls where parts cost exceeded 30% of the flat rate, identifying tiers that need repricing.
- Upgrade Opportunity Identification: Surfaces equipment aging out, on R-22, or in declining condition as proactive replacement conversations.
- Maintenance Bulk Outreach: Personalized campaign to service-agreement customers due for a seasonal visit.
